Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to join our store in Bournemouth. The ideal candidate will support the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in ensuring the smooth running of store operations. This role involves leading by example, providing excellent customer service, and motivating the team to achieve targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily store operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
- Lead and motivate a team of store associates, providing guidance and support.
- Assist with training and development of team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Maintain high standards of customer service, addressing any customer inquiries or issues promptly.
- Oversee stock management, including receiving deliveries, stocking shelves, and conducting inventory checks.
- Ensure the store is clean, well-organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Handle cash management tasks, including opening and closing procedures and cashing up.
- Support promotional activities and ensure effective merchandising of products.
- Step in to cover duties of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in their absence.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role within the retail sector.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in using retail management systems and basic computer applications.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A proactive approach with problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations.
