We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Team Support Manager to join our Foods department in St Helens.
Position Overview: As a Team Support Manager in the Foods department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the store. You will lead and support your team to provide excellent customer service, maintain high standards of product presentation, and meet sales targets. This position requires a proactive and motivated individual with a passion for food retail and team management.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, motivate, and support the Foods team to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Ensure the effective and efficient operation of the Foods department, including stock management, merchandising, and product availability.
  • Implement and maintain M&S standards for food safety, quality, and hygiene.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, identify opportunities for growth, and implement action plans to achieve sales targets.
  • Train and develop team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience across the store.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain a safe and secure working environment for staff and customers.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within a food retail environment.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
