Position Overview: We are seeking a proactive and skilled Desktop Support Analyst to join our IT team in Manchester. The successful candidate will provide technical support to ITV employees, ensuring that desktop systems and software operate smoothly. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide first-line technical support to ITV employees, both on-site and remotely.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop computers, peripherals, and software applications.
• Manage user accounts and permissions in accordance with ITV’s policies.
• Assist with the deployment and management of IT equipment and resources.
• Document and track all support requests using the IT service management system.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless service delivery and resolve complex issues.
• Provide training and support to users on IT systems and applications.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IT technologies and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a desktop support or similar IT support role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite and other common software applications.
• Familiarity with network troubleshooting and basic network configurations.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-oriented approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
