Job Description:
Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust is seeking an organized and efficient Administration Clerk to join our administrative team. This role is essential for supporting the daily operations of our hospital through a variety of clerical and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming calls and manage patient inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
- Schedule appointments, manage calendars, and coordinate meetings for healthcare professionals.
- Maintain and update patient records and data entry with high accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documentation as required.
- Provide support to other administrative staff and departments as needed.
- Manage mail, faxes, and other communications, ensuring timely distribution and response.
- Perform general office duties such as filing, photocopying, and maintaining office supplies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an administrative clerk or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with healthcare management systems.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- A proactive approach and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent is desirable.
