Job Description:

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a skilled and passionate Midwife to join our dynamic maternity team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in guiding and caring for women through one of the most significant events in their lives.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide holistic, personalized care to women and their families throughout the childbirth process.
  • Monitor the physical, psychological, and social well-being of the mother throughout the childbearing cycle.
  • Conduct prenatal visits and assessments, including screening tests and providing appropriate guidance.
  • Assist mothers during labor and delivery, providing both emotional support and clinical care.
  • Administer medications, perform interventions, and monitor responses to treatments.
  • Educate and support new parents about infant care, breastfeeding, and health recovery.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the best outcomes for mother and baby.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.

Requirements:

  • Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Proven clinical experience in midwifery.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to make decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Compassionate and supportive approach to patient care.
