Position Overview: We are currently seeking skilled and reliable Warehouse Forklift Truck Operators to join our team at IKEA Bristol. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform order-filler and checker duties.

Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, or other powered equipment.
• Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
• Inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment.
• Conduct physical inventories and ensure the accuracy of stock levels.
• Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse by keeping doors secured and adhering to safety protocols.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient product flow and inventory accuracy.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Report any discrepancies or issues to warehouse management promptly.
• Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is required.
• Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to undergo certification training.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy items as required.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the UK.
