We are currently recruiting for Postpersons with Driving to join our team at the Armagh Delivery Office.

Job Description: As a Postperson with Driving, you will be responsible for delivering mail and parcels to residential and business addresses within your designated delivery area. You will use a Royal Mail vehicle to carry out your deliveries and will be required to drive safely and responsibly at all times. This is a physically demanding role that involves walking and carrying mail bags, so you should be physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.Key Responsibilities:

• Sort and prepare mail for delivery at the Armagh Delivery Office.
• Load mail bags and parcels into a Royal Mail vehicle for delivery.
• Drive to designated delivery routes and deliver mail and parcels to addresses on your route.
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of mail to customers, following Royal Mail delivery standards and procedures.
• Collect and return undelivered mail to the Delivery Office at the end of your shift.
• Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer queries and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and safe driving practices at all times.
• Complete delivery rounds within the designated timeframe, meeting delivery targets and performance standards.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a delivery or logistics environment.
• Good geographical knowledge of the Armagh area and surrounding areas.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and commitment to delivering excellent service.
• Physically fit and able to walk and carry mail bags for extended periods.
• Flexible approach to work, with the ability to work variable hours and overtime as required.
