Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Backend Architect to join our innovative team at Binance. This role offers the flexibility of both onsite and remote work options, with preference for candidates based in Tower Hamlets, London. As a Backend Architect, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing scalable backend solutions that support our global cryptocurrency exchange platform and related services.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and design scalable, reliable, and efficient backend systems and microservices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Lead technical design discussions and provide guidance on architecture best practices.
• Evaluate and recommend technologies and tools that best fit project requirements.
• Ensure system performance, reliability, and security through proactive design and code reviews.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation in backend architecture and development processes.
• Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Backend Architect or similar role, with a strong background in designing and implementing scalable backend systems.
• Expertise in backend development using languages such as Java, Python, or Go.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in the fintech or cryptocurrency industry is a plus.
