Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced professional to join our team as a Project Research and Due Diligence Specialist focusing on the infrastructure (Infra) sector. This role is based in Toronto, Canada, and will involve conducting thorough research and due diligence on infrastructure projects to ensure they meet our investment criteria and standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on infrastructure projects, including financial, technical, and operational aspects.
  • Evaluate project feasibility, risks, and potential returns, providing comprehensive reports and recommendations.
  • Perform due diligence on project proposals, including reviewing legal, regulatory, and compliance documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather necessary information and insights.
  • Develop and maintain a database of infrastructure projects and related market trends.
  • Prepare and present detailed research findings and due diligence reports to senior management.
  • Monitor ongoing projects to ensure compliance with investment criteria and performance benchmarks.
  • Stay updated on industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices in the infrastructure sector.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in project research, analysis, and due diligence, preferably in the infrastructure or related sectors.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, risk assessment, and project evaluation methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements in the infrastructure sector.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with data analysis tools is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
