Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our store in Bolton. The ideal candidate will support the Store Manager in overseeing store operations, leading the team, and ensuring high standards of customer service, efficiency, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Store Manager in the overall management of the store, including daily operations, staff management, and customer service.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of store associates, ensuring they provide excellent customer service.
• Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stock control to ensure product availability and freshness.
• Ensure the store meets high standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and efficiently.
• Support the implementation of store merchandising and promotional activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and training to staff.
• Assist with financial management tasks, including budgeting, payroll, and cash handling.
• Step in to cover duties of the Store Manager in their absence.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the retail or grocery industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in using retail management systems and basic computer applications.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A proactive approach with problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations.
