Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Operations Coordinator to join our team at IKEA Milton Keynes. This role involves overseeing daily warehouse activities, coordinating the movement of goods, and ensuring an organized and safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a dedication to operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching products.
- Ensure efficient and accurate order picking, packing, and shipment processes.
- Supervise and support warehouse staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock counts.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and IKEA policies.
- Monitor and optimize warehouse processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
- Prepare and submit operational reports as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role, with supervisory or coordination experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy items as required.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and other relevant software.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the UK.
- Valid forklift operator certification is a plus.
