Job Description: Liverpool Football Club is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our scouting team as a Scout Assistant. In this role, you will work closely with our scouting staff to identify and evaluate potential talent across various age groups and regions. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience in the world of football scouting and contribute to the future success of LFC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior scouts in identifying and evaluating players at all levels, from youth academies to professional leagues.
- Attend matches, tournaments, and training sessions to scout players and assess their abilities.
- Collect and analyze data on player performance, including statistics, video footage, and scouting reports.
- Maintain accurate records of scouting activities and player evaluations using our internal scouting database.
- Collaborate with other members of the scouting team to discuss player prospects and make recommendations for further evaluation.
- Build and maintain relationships with coaches, agents, and other key stakeholders in the football community.
- Stay informed about developments in the football industry, including emerging trends, player transfers, and scouting methodologies.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to scouting operations, such as scheduling appointments, booking travel arrangements, and organizing scouting reports.
Requirements:
- Passion for football and a strong understanding of the game.
- Previous experience in football scouting or player evaluation is preferred but not required.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed to attend matches and scouting events.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills.
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
