Job Description: We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our team at our Rochdale store. As an Aldi Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring that our customers receive outstanding service and that operational targets are achieved.Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and motivate a team of store colleagues to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets.
• Support the Store Manager in managing stock levels, replenishment, and merchandise presentation to ensure a well-stocked and attractive store environment.
• Assist with the recruitment, training, and development of new team members, providing coaching and support to enhance performance and productivity.
• Conduct regular team briefings and meetings to communicate business objectives, performance targets, and operational updates.
• Monitor and maintain high standards of store cleanliness, hygiene, and health and safety to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and efficient manner, resolving issues promptly and escalating complex issues to management as necessary.
• Assist with cash handling, banking procedures, and financial administration tasks to ensure accuracy and compliance with company procedures.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager to implement promotional activities, seasonal campaigns, and special events to drive sales and enhance the customer shopping experience.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a retail environment, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve results.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and delegate effectively.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, based on the needs of the business.
• A positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
• Knowledge of retail operations, including cash handling, stock management, and health and safety procedures.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
