Job Description:

New Line Cinema is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented VFX Coordinator to join our team in Manchester. The VFX Coordinator will play a crucial role in facilitating communication and workflow between the production team and external vendors to ensure the successful delivery of visual effects for our film projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison between the production team and external VFX vendors.
  • Coordinate and track the progress of VFX shots, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Organize and maintain the VFX database, including shot lists, status reports, and delivery schedules.
  • Communicate production needs and feedback to VFX vendors, ensuring clear and accurate information exchange.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including the director, producers, and post-production team, to address VFX requirements and preferences.
  • Assist in troubleshooting technical issues and resolving challenges related to VFX production.
  • Participate in VFX review sessions and provide feedback to vendors to ensure the quality and consistency of visual effects.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a VFX Coordinator or in a similar role within the film or television industry.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools used in VFX production, such as Shotgun, FileMaker Pro, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of VFX pipelines and production processes, including understanding of shot tracking, rendering, and compositing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in film production, animation, visual effects, or related field preferred.
